About Britta

Britta Kienle, born on 1 May 1939 in Tübingen, has lived a life full of turns. At first she stood in front of the camera as a model – yet early on she sensed her exceptionally strong intuition, and the cards became her great passion. To learn the craft from the ground up, she travelled regularly from Stuttgart to Frankfurt to study with an experienced card reader – a long, exhausting journey that did not slow her down one bit.

Because there was hardly any good teaching material, she developed her own simple system and wrote her first compact textbook – with such great success that it was translated into seven languages. In the year 2000 she founded Brika Verlag and, over the years, created a whole library of textbooks for Lenormand, Gypsy cards and Tarot – along with her own, lovingly designed card decks.
